I brought dinner to a good friend and thought my heart would break. She didn't move from the couch and barely smiled. She looks so skinny with just a puff of hair left. This vital, fun loving friend has been fighting a battle and doesn't look like she's winning. Rachel reminded me to have her in our prayers.
I know there is a life after we are done in this mortal earth life while our bodies molder and decay, but my heart clenches today because I want her to be happy and healthy. I'm just sad.

I've found I can't live without my computer.......

You can't tell the difference but this has been written on a new computer. But no pictures. I have literally thousands of pictures but none to show today until I figure out this new computer system. I'm thankful for this technology. I think I didn't realize how closely connected I am every day with calendar, emails, blogging, news, and of course pictures, pictures, pictures. Life is really great with a computer. To think that I didn't use one much before 2004 - how was that possible? Thinking back I didn't use a microwave before my 4th child was born - is that even possible? What did I do during the day? How did I get along?
Decisions made and friends influence can change our lives just as much as new technology. Trying to think back before my friends of today is difficult. They have influenced my thinking, how I make a dinner and run my house. Thinking back before my decision to marry Jeff is impossible. He has changed my outlook, focus, and purpose in life. What a really great guy! Every once in awhile I'm reminded of what a great life I have. So here are my reasons I love to be with my best friend Jeffrey.
1. He is a really great teacher
2. He makes vacations and trips fun
3. He feels a strong purpose for life
4. He loves children
5. He wants me to be happy
6. He has enabled me to have fun with my children
7. He has paid for many more things than he knows of
8. He constantly reads the prophets and shares his insights
9. He loves me
10. He listens and understands

Having fun on a Cruise around the bay and Pier 39

Every year the 5th grade goes to Pier 39 and takes a small cruise around the bay. They study in science all the things they would see if they were under the ocean and then get to play and watch on the boat and have fun shopping in all the tourist traps along the pier.

We didn't stop in Alcatraz just cruised around it.

We went around one of the standards holding up the bridge and the water was much rougher on the ocean side than the bay side. Only yards apart.

This is Isaiah, he's been in my group for every field trip and you just can't find a nicer guy.
